What the Astrology says about Current Events
Very recently, Pluto moved from Capricorn into Aquarius. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was in the late 1700s when the French Revolution and the American Revolutionary War took place. It was also in the time frame of the Industrial Revolution.
Many astrologers are saying that what we are experiencing now is the start of the Age of Aquarius. Pluto, being the planet that is the furthest out in our galaxy, changes signs every 20 years. This means that we are under the influence of Pluto in Aquarius for the next 20 years!
Pluto is about transformation, power, destruction and rebirth~ like the phoenix rising from its ashes.
Capricorn, the sign Pluto moved out of, wants to stick with the status quo. It’s comfortable with the old ways of doing things. But Aquarius, the sign that Pluto is in now, has the opposite tendency. Aquarius loves innovation, technology, progress, independence and humanitarian causes. It rebels against authoritarianism and starts revolutions.
Also, Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet that is associated with sudden and unexpected changes and breaks systems down so that they can be rebuilt in a better way. Uranus rules earthquakes, thunderstorms, lightning and wind.
So, as you can see, all the things happening in our world right now are right on target. These things are supposed to be happening. Yes, it’s very uncomfortable for us to hear about the horrors taking place and even worse for those who are experiencing these events first hand, but the only way out of it is to go through it. And when the transformation has taken place, Pluto in Aquarius will have taken us to a much better place. Some are calling it “New Earth”.Positive change absolutely must happen because the truth is that if we stay on this insane path of planetary destruction, the human race could wipe itself out. We are fragile beings and our delicate systems cannot survive the extreme conditions brought on by our careless treatment of our home planet. But please understand that Aquarius, caring so much for humanity, will not allow total destruction of our species.
This is an incredible time to be on Earth; big changes are happening as we realize that the old ways of doing things aren’t working for us anymore. Everything is falling into massive disarray. It can be frightening or it can be seen as the old systems having to break down so that we can build back in a way that sustains all life. The Aquarian ideal is for everybody to matter and for all beings to have enough of everything they need in order to lead healthy, joyous lives. It is a great vision and I believe that it will come to fruition if we all set an intention for it to happen.
